David Bowie is set to release a new song entitled Tis a Pity She Was a Whore, which "acknowledges the shocking rawness of the First World War" and which also comes with some pretty daytime radio unfriendly lyrics.
Taking its title from John Ford's controversial 17th century play, Tis a Pity She's a Whore, the new song includes lyrics such as "Man, she punched me like a dude - hold your mad hands, I cried" and "Black struck the kiss, she kept my c*** - smote the mistress, drifting on; 'tis a pity she was a whore."
The song is a B-side to Bowie's new single Sue (Or In a Season of Crime).
A post on Bowie's Facebook calls the new tune a "demo track," which the singer wrote, performed and recorded in his home studio.
Rolling Stone reports that both songs will appear on the Bowie box set Nothing Has Changed, which is released on November 14th.
It's a compilation of Bowie's entire career in reverse chronological order which will also contain two tracks from his unreleased 2001 album Toy.
