Life is looking good for Jennifer Aniston these days with her new film Cake receiving rave reviews - and there's even talk of an Oscar nomination for the former Friend.
45-year-old Jennifer Aniston will return to the big screen early next year in new drama Cake. Aniston plays a woman who survives a car accident and then becomes obsessed by the deceased wife of a widower - who she begins dating.
Aside from prosthetic scarring on her face, she went absolutely make-up free for the role. Aniston told Deadline: "It was so fabulous, and so dreamy and so empowering and liberating."
The actress has recently been tipped for an Academy Award since news broke that the release date for Cake has been moved making it eligible for the 2015 Oscars.
The film got a great reaction when it debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this year and speaking about it at the time, Aniston said: "When I read it I knew it was the role of a lifetime. How could I turn that down?
"Just reading [screenwriter Patrick Tobin's] script I actually saw myself doing it. I just felt like it was already happening and it was pretty easy to say 'yes'.
"It was such a beautiful, complex, layered, tortured character. I just tapped into something I was meant to do. It was a no-brainer."
