Mick Jagger has been ordered to rest by his doctors after the Rolling Stones had to cancel their Melbourne concert last night (November 8).
The 71-year-old rocker developed a throat infection forcing the band to axe the concert.
The Melbourne show was part of their rescheduled gigs from their latest tour, which were postponed following the death of Jagger's girlfriend L'Wren Scott.
A spokesperson for the tour promoter, Frontier Touring, has said that Mick is: "under strict doctor's orders to rest his vocal cords for the next few days in order to recuperate for the remainder of the tour."
