Singer Rihanna has announced that she will host the first annual Diamond Ball next month for her charity, The Clara Lionel Foundation.
The R'n'B star launched the humanitarian foundation two years ago in memory of her grandparents, Clara and Lionel Brathwaite.
She tweeted: "I'm so proud to announce the 1st annual #DiamondBall to benefit the Clara Lionel Foundation on Dec.11 in LA! http://claralionelfoundation.org."
The 26-year-old is set to perform at the gala and said in a statement: "One of the greatest benefits of my job was being able to start the Clara Lionel Foundation in honour of my grandparents.
"There is truly nothing I'm more proud of and we've just gotten started. I'm excited to continue my work and thrilled to be able to host the Diamond Ball - a night that promises to be elegant and inspirational."
