John Byrne chats to Suggs and Mike Barson about what motivates Madness, making a comeback, and finds out what fans can expect at their gig in the 3Arena on December 16.
Speaking about the ups and downs the band has had, Suggs said: "We all took some time out along the way to re-evaluate why we were doing it, because for quite a period it became a bit of a treadmill. We were like a hit machine.
"It was great fun to start with and then it did start to get a bit wearing. Then it all came back to square one when we had a comeback in 1992 and the joy seemed to resurface for all of us definitely."
