Nicki Minaj and Enya – two artists we never thought we would say in the same sentence together. But it seems Minaj is a huge fan of the Irish musician.
The 31-year-old rapper has revealed that two tracks on her upcoming album, The Pinkprint, are inspired by the Orinoco Flow singer.
Minaj said: ''One of my biggest [musical influences] is Enya.
''There are two records early in the album where the airiness and the whimsicalness remind me of Enya, and I sort of crafted it thinking about her and the way her music makes me feel.''
The Pinkprint is Nicki Minaj’s third studio album, and is due for release on December 15. It will feature songs Pills N’ Potions, Only, Lookin Ass and the infamous Anaconda – alongside her Enya inspired tracks.
