Nicole Kidman has entered into talks to replace Gwyneth Paltrow in The Secret in Their Eyes.
Julia Roberts and Chiwetel Ejiofor are already cast for the remake of the Argentine thriller, while Billy Ray is directing the film.
The story centres around a retired attorney who sets out to write a book about an unsolved case and the unrequited love he had for his former superior.
This Hollywood version is based on the Juan Jose Campanella-directed Secret in Their Eyes, which won the Best Foreign Language Film Oscar in 2010.
Nicole Kidman can currently be seen in Before I Go to Sleep and will appear in Werner Herzog's upcoming Queen of the Desert.
