CBS has confirmed that The Mentalist will come to a conclusion with its upcoming seventh season.
The US broadcaster also revealed that the 13-episode run will begin earlier than expected, starting later this month.
The crime drama, which stars Simon Baker as a former psychic who serves as a consultant to the FBI, will return with a 13-episode run later this month in the States and will run on RTÉ One in the New Year.
