Benedict Cumberbatch is set to walk down the aisle with his theatre director girlfriend Sophie Hunter.
A forthcoming marriage notice on page 57 of today's edition of The Times revealed the news, with an image of the announcement soon being shared on Twitter.
The piece reads: "Mr BT. Cumberbatch and Miss S.I. Hunter: The engagement is announced between Benedict, son of Wanda and Timothy Cumberbatch of London, and Sophie, daughter of Katharine Hunter of Edinburgh and Charles Hunter of London."
There were reports last month that the 38-year-old Sherlock star had headed to Edinburgh to seek the blessing of Hunter's mother for the marriage.
The lovebirds were first seen publicly together this June at the French Open but they first met when starring opposite each other in 2009's Burlesque Fairytales.
Cumberbatch can next be seen in The Imitation Game, which hits cinemas on November 14.
