Heist thriller Idol's Eye, which Robert De Niro, Robert Pattinson and Rachel Weisz were set to star in, has been shut down just days before filming was set to commence.
Benaroya Pictures have been forced to halt production on Idol's Eye after the movie's producers failed to meet financing deadlines.
Benaroya Pictures said in a statement: ''Due to the criteria for financing not being met by producers, Benaroya Pictures has formally decided to discontinue financing the motion pictured titled Idol's Eye.''
Oliver Assaya was set to direct the film following on from his Cannes Film Festival entry Clouds of Sils Maria, which starred Juliette Binoche and Pattinson's Twilight co-star and former girlfriend Kristen Stewart.
Benaroya Pictures previous films include Margin Call, Kill Your Darlings and the upcoming Queen of the Desert which stars Robert Pattinson, James Franco, Damian Lewis and Nicole Kidman.
