Mad Men star Jon Hamm is a big fan of Toast of London, the sitcom of the surreal written by Fr Ted co-creator Arthur Matthews and IT Crowd star Matt Berry.
In the show, which has just returned to Channel 4 for a second season, Berry plays Steven Toast, a classically-trained actor who just can't get a break
Speaking to RTÉ TEN, Matthews said: "Matt knows Jon Hamm because Jon Hamm spends a lot of time in London and likes his British comedy and seems to know a lot about it.
"I only discovered that Jon was at the wrap party for the first series last year. It was at the Groucho Club and Jon Hamm was downstairs and Matt said come up but I didn't see him and I was never introduced to him. I never got to meet Don Draper!"
Toast of London, winner of BAFTA and Gold Rose of Berlin awards, airs on Channel 4 on Monday nights and is repeated Fridays and also available on Channel 4oD.
