Lola Saunders became the latest act to be eliminated from The X Factor at last night's results show and the singer has said she is "gutted" with the outcome.

Speaking on The Xtra Factor Lola, who was in Cheryl's group, said, "I feel gutted. But it's going to happen at some point to everyone.

"I've had such an amazing time. Ever since I was younger, watching the show, I was like, 'That's where I want to get'."

She added of her time on the show, "I'm absolutely chuffed. It's like a different world. It's crazy. I'm happy that I went out there and tried my best. This week, I had a mic pack situation. I'm glad that I saw it through."

Two acts were eliminated this week with Mel B's Jack Walton receiving the fewest votes on Saturday night, and Lola and Stereo Kicks entering into a sing-off on Sunday night.

Louis Walsh and Mel B opted to save Stereo Kicks, while Cheryl and Simon Cowell voted to save Lola. With a tied vote the decision went back into the hands of the voting public and it was revealed that Lola had the least amount of votes.

The Script, John Legend and Cheryl performed over the course of the weekend and next week's musical guests are former X Factor contestants One Direction and Stay With Me hitmaker Sam Smith.

The X Factor continues on ITV, Saturday at 8pm.
