The upcoming Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel has gone Gallic by appointing French directors.
Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo will take the reins of Leatherface, the prequel to Tobe Hooper's 1974 horror classic.
Maury and Bustillo are best known for horror movies such as 2007's Inside and 2011's Livid.
Seth M Sherwood has already got the job of writing the script for the film. It is expected to serve as an origin story for the titular masked killer set in the early '70s.
Sherwood is also working on a paranormal thriller with Paranormal Activity 5's Greg Plotkin.
Leatherface will be the eighth film in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise. The most recent being 2013's Texas Chainsaw 3D, starring Alexandra Daddario.
