Sharon Stone's drama series Agent X has been picked up by US cable network TNT.
Written by The Bourne Identity's William Blake Herron, Agent X stars Stone as Natalie Maccabee, the first female Vice President of the United States.
Debuting with ten episodes in 2015, Jeff Hephner will play the title role of Agent X, a top secret agent who will help the Vice President protect the US Constitution during a great crisis.
Agent X also stars Gerald McRaney as the Vice President's Chief Steward and John Shea as the President. James Earl Jones and Jamey Sheridan also feature.
TNT's Lillah McCarthy described Agent X as the "perfect fit" for the network, which produces shows such as Falling Skies, Rizzolli & Isles, The Last Ship and Legends.
She added: "It's a slick, high-energy thrill-ride with lots of twists and turns, big action sequences and kick-ass stunts."
Agent X marks Stone's first TV project since appearing on Law & Order: SVU in 2010.
