Neil Patrick Harris and his husband David Burtka have been cast in American Horror Story: Freak Show.
According to TVLine, Harris will play a "sly salesman" in the final two episodes of the FX anthology series.
In a separate storyline, Burtka will play a love interest for Jessica Lange's character Elsa Mars in the season finale.
The upcoming series tells the story of one of the last surviving freak shows and will also star Emma Roberts, Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates and Denis O'Hare.
Harris previously worked with series creator Ryan Murphy on Glee.
The former How I Met Your Mother star was recently revealed as the host of the Academy Awards 2015.
