“The death of Lynda Bellingham is heart-stopping for us all," Maureen Lipman wrote in yesterday’s Telegraph, paying tribute to her friend.
“It was expected, of course, but that makes it no easier," wrote Lipman. “Cancer has no respect for the peaks and troughs of talent, and it paid no heed to Lynda’s potential for greatness.
"The best was still to come….(she) faced her bowel cancer and the mess of her treatment with humour and acceptance – so that we are all in a better place to confront our demons.”
Bellingham died on October 19.
