Björk’s new album - her first LP since 2011's Biophilia - will be co-produced by Arca, the 24-year-old Venezuelan-born electronic artist, who has worked with Kanye West and FKA Twigs.
It was originally reported that Arca - real name Alejandro Ghersi - was the “sole producer” of Björk’s new LP, he has since clarified that both parties are “co-producing music together.”
Currently based in London, Arca released three EPs before gaining a name for himself on West’s album Yeezus and FKA Twigs’ 2013 EP2.
Arca’s first studio LP, Xen will be released by Mute on 4 November, and a track called Thievery will be the lead single. The producer will begin a short European tour with a concert at London’s ICA on November 27.
Meanwhile, Björk: Biophilia Live, the concert film, is wowing the critics and fans. It was shot at the Icelandic singer’s September 3 show at London's Alexandra Palace.
