In the just-published Let Me Frank With You, Ford revisits his best-known character, wryly-observant estate agent, Frank Bascombe in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
Richard Ford’s second Frank Bascombe novel, Independence Day won the Pulitzer Prize and PEN/Faulkner award. A regular visitor to Ireland, the 70-year old author teaches Creative Writing at Trinity College.
“Frank Bascombe, the protagonist of The Sportswriter, Independence Day, and The Lay of the Land, continues to reflect on the meaning of existence in these four absorbing, funny, and often profound novellas,” enthuses Publishers Weekly.
