James Blunt says he's sorry for "force-feeding" his global hit You're Beautiful down people's throats and has also denied that he is "an insanely serious person."
Speaking to HELLO! magazine, the former captain in the British Army said: "[It] was force-fed down people's throats and it became annoying, and then people start to associate the artist with the same word."
Somewhat of a stalker's anthem, You're Beautiful featured on the singer's 2004 debut album Back To Bedlam and reached Number One in Ireland, the UK and US.
40-year-old Blunt also thinks the song's massive success hurt his reputation and credibility, and portrayed him as an "insanely serious person".
"I have a couple of over-emotional miserable songs that I'm known for," Blunt said. "But I think it's turned that corner now."
Here's Blunty talking to RTÉ Ten recently.
