US network NBC is planning another remake of the hit British sit-com The IT Crowd, which was written and created by Irish screenwriter Graham Linehan.
NBC has ordered a pilot from Scrubs creator and Cougar Town co-creator Bill Lawrence.
Deadline.com reports that Lawrence will be working on the pilot alongside Community's Neil Goldman and Garrett Donovan. The trio have previously worked together on Scrubs.
NBC announced it was to adapt The IT Crowd in 2007, with Joel McHale, Jessica St Clair and Rocky Carroll in the lead roles.
However, reports later that year said the show had not gone into production after its pilot and was to be cancelled, despite the fact that a number of scripts had already been written.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the series "didn't quite spark" with the then NBC Chairman, Ben Silverman.
The IT Crowd was first screened in the UK in 2006 and starred Chris O'Dowd, Richard Ayoade and Katherine Parkinson.
