Tim Wheeler, frontman of Downpatrick power pop trio Ash, makes a heartfelt tribute to his late father on his debut solo album, Lost Domain

Tim's father, George, suffered from dementia in his final years and on Lost Domain, released on October 31, Tim battles to come to terms with his loss on eleven songs charting his father’s rapid decline into illness, his death and the tumultuous effect that it had on his son's life.

“It was a really hard time,” Tim says. “But the closeness within my family made it a powerful bonding time as well.”

The release of Lost Domain does not signal the break-up of Ash, the enduring Irish act who released their celebrated debut album 1977 in 1996.

The full track-listing for Lost Domain is: Snow In Nara, End of An Era, Do You Ever Think of Me? Hospital Medicine,
Vigil, First Sign of Spring, Vapour, Hold, Lost Domain, Monsoon.

Tim plays The Bush Hall, London on November 4th, Deaf Institute, Manchester on November 5th, ABC2, Glasgow on November 6th and On Yeah Centre, Belfast on November 7th.
