Pharrell Williams has said that he's open to collaborating with One Direction.

He appeared on BBC Radio 1 this Monday morning (October 13), telling Nick Grimshaw he'd be up for working with the group.

"I would. What's the worst that could happen? Something that we don't think is good? We don't put it out," he said.

Williams has previously worked with a variety of artists including Daft Punk, Ed Sheeran and Kylie Minogue.

The 41-year-old also spoke about his career as a solo artist, admitting his "life has changed" in recent years as his career sky-rocketed.

"Two years ago my management said Columbia Records wanted to have a conversation with me. My life has changed ever since. I've not gotten used to it.

"The only reason why I said yes was because I was so overwhelmed and touched that they even cared what I would make. I wasn't asking for it. Even up until my first show, I didn't know what I was going to do."
