The Queen has bestowed an honorary Dame title upon Angelina Jolie during a private visit by the actress, her husband Brad Pitt and their six children to Buckingham Palace today.
The 39-year-old star was presented with the Insignia of an Honorary Dame Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and St. George by the Queen to honour her humanitarian work.
According to The Mirror the visit lasted 20 minutes and the entire family were given face time with Queen.
A source told The Mirror, "Initially the Queen presented the insignia to Angelina alone and after the private audience both Mr Brad Pitt and all children were presented to the Queen."
