Catherine Zeta-Jones is among the new cast members announced for the upcoming big screen version of the TV comedy classic Dad's Army, which will also star Toby Jones, Bill Nighy, Tom Courtenay and Michael Gambon.
Zeta-Jones will play a journalist sent to the fictional Walmington-on-Sea to report on the work of the Home Guard during World War II.
Actor Jones will play Captain Mainwaring, with Nighy as Sergeant Wilson, Courtenay as Corporal Jones and Gambon as Private Godfrey.
The cast also includes Blake Harrison as Private Pike and Danny Mays as Private Walker, with Sarah Lancashire, Alison Steadman, Mark Gatiss and Annette Crosbie also set to star.
Filming begins this month in Yorkshire with Oliver Parker (Johnny English Reborn) directing.
