She's world renowned for her unique and much-copied style, but Alexa Chung has revealed that fashion wasn't always her strong suit.
The style icon explained to InStyle magazine that she suffered from some tragic fashion fails while growing up, which earned her an unfortunate nickname from one of her teachers.
Chung said: ''At sixth-form college, I would wear a cropped Pokemon t-shirt and huge combat skate trousers with my knickers hanging out - my teacher used to call me 'Pants Girl'.''
The model and TV presenter also spoke her worries about ageing, saying: ''Sometimes I'm like, 'Oh my god, I'm going to get a facelift', but I don't think I really will. I'll just live in the present and enjoy my remaining youth.
''I do worry about my skin though. I look in the mirror and I'm like, 'Oh hi wrinkles'. But everyone I love - like [singer-songwriter] Patti Smith or [actress] Charlotte Rampling - has wrinkles and they still look beautiful.''
