One of the stars of hit American comedy Community, Yvette Nicole Brown who plays Shirley Bennett has defended her decision to leave NBC.
The actress asked to be freed from her contract with the company to look after her ailing father however fans seemed upset when news broke that she was set to star in CBS's reboot of The Odd Couple.
However the actress defended her decision by explaining that her working hours on the new show are a quarter of that on Community. She tweeted: "A single-camera work week is about 80 hours. A multi-cam work week is about 20 hours."
Brown added: "Beyond that, I have always been a person of integrity.
"My reasons for leaving Community have been stated. This new blessing is just that."
