Marry Murray, who plays Janet in Love/Hate, revealed to RTÉ TEN that the brothel madam will be bringing more turmoil to Nidge's life in series five.
Speaking to RTÉ TEN Mary Murray, who plays Nidge's "bit on the side" Janet in Love/Hate, admits that Nidge is going to have deal with more trouble and strife in his life when series five of the crime drama kicks off on RTÉ One this Sunday night at 9:30pm.
Mary, who is "excited like the rest of the nation" for new the series, said: "Janet has a big domestic story this year and you will get to see a lot of her family life.
"I suppose before we got to see Janet as the individual who gave Nidge a bit of a break from family life but he seems to have gone now from the frying pan into the fire. He has just ended up with another family, with another situation to deal with as if he didn't have enough turmoil to be dealing with in his life.
"Janet is now looking towards Nidge for guidance for her son Aaron and hoping that he can be a bit of a father figure. He needs a father figure and who better than Nidge, thinks Janet!"
When asked if Nidge's relationship with his wife Trish will completely breakdown this series Mary remained coy, but she did say: "Janet has a soft spot for Nidge, he has one for her. He needs stress relief and up to a point she was able to give him that.
"But I think his whole entire life if full of angst and turmoil and no matter which corner he turns he is going to end up under pressure."
