Veteran rockers AC/DC have confirmed details of their first studio album in six years and announced a world tour for 2015.

Rock or Bust - featuring 11 new tracks, produced and mixed by Brendan O'Brien and Mike Fraser - will be released on December 1. It was recorded at Bryan Adams' Warehouse Studio in Vancouver in the spring.

The new album and tour will be the iconic rock band's first without founding member Malcolm Young, who was forced to retire due to ill health earlier this year.

Stevie Young, nephew of founding members Angus and Malcolm Young, has replaced Malcolm on rhythm guitar on the record and will join the band on the tour.

News of the band's tour will also add fuel to rumours that the group are set to make a return visit to Ireland and also headllne Glastonbury next summer.
