Here are the six women who will open up their lives on Connected

Lots of new shows starting tonight, including the return of Damo & Ivor (10.00pm, RTÉ Two) and a new show called Connected (10.30pm, RTÉ 2), while Cilla (9.00pm, UTV) continues the story of singer Cilla Black.

Connected, 10.30pm, RTÉ 2

This looks fascinating. Screened over four consecutive nights, this is a self-shot, observational documentary series that sees traditional TV catch up with the ways of the web. Cast with six women, capturing their most intimate moments, Connected is a time-capsule of what life is like for women in Ireland 2014. In this opener, Elayne finally has a place of her own, Nicole doesn’t like being dependent on boyfriend Noel and Venetia feels for husband Martin who is dealing with unemployment.

Damo & Ivor, 10.00pm, RTÉ Two

The first season was a great success – so here's more from the identical twin brothers separated at birth but reunited after 22 years. Ivor was raised in affluence on Dublin's southside while Damo grew up on the mean streets of the capital's northside. The show ended-off with a bang when Sarah Jane revealed she was pregnant and didn’t know which twin was the father, now Ivor must face up to possibly being a dad and Damo also has to grow up.

Cilla, 9.00pm, UTV

Sheridan Smith continues her stunning portrayal of singer Cilla Black in this biopic. With Cilla and Bobby reunited, Cilla’s confidence returns and she is once again dazzling crowds with her amazing voice. The re-emergence of Brian Epstein propels her career to new heights, but this is soon followed by an all-time low when her first record fails in the charts. Against Bobby’s judgement Brian convinces her to gamble on a ballad – a change of direction that could alter her life forever.
