RTÉ Radio 1 arts show Arena will stage an extravaganza special on Culture Night in Dublin this Friday, September 19, with a three-hour Arena Special broadcast live from Meeting House Square in Temple Bar in Dublin’s city centre from 7.00pm.
Presented by Arena host Seán Rocks and John Kelly of The Works and RTÉ lyric fm, the packed programme features a mix of interviews, music, drama and comedy, along with musical accompaniment from the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and the RTÉ Contempo Quartet.
Performances include music from John Sheahan, We Cut Corners, Jack L and Lisa Lambe, readings from Ciarán Hinds, Barry McGovern and Brendan Conroy, comedy from Aprés Match's Gary Cooke and Kevin Gildea and many more acts across the night.
