Later Live... With Jools Holland

10.00pm BBC

The now venerable (but still rockin’) institution returns for a run of eight episodes, with, once again, the now regular live show on Tuesdays and full-length show on Fridays. Maybe some of the folk who cut their TV teeth already on RTÉ Two’s Other Voices will turn up here this season. Confidently expect tonight Alt-J, Ryan Adams, Jungle and Banks. And, yep, an amazing 45th season of the music knees up. And, yup, that's Alt-J down below. They set themselves up in a vertical position to perform, so no worries, friends.

UEFA Champions League: Liverpool v Ludogorets

7.30pm ITV

Adrian Chiles introduces live coverage of the UEFA Champions League group stage on ITV. Ludogorets, meanwhile, come into the tie having won the Bulgarian A-Group league for three consecutive seasons.
