A memorial statue of the late singer Amy Winehouse was been unveiled in London today, September 14, on what would have been her 31st birthday.

The life-size bronze statue was unveiled by her mother, Janis, and her father, Mitch, in front of hundreds of fans in Stables Market, Camden, an area her father Mitch said she was “in love with”.

Winehouse was found dead from alcohol poisoning in her London home in 2011, at the age of 27.

The statue was created by sculptor Scott Eaton and it features Winehouse in her signature beehive hairdo.
