Community creator Dan Harmon has denied that Alison Brie is leaving the cult US comedy.
Rumours have swirled on social media over the last 24 hours that Brie - who also starred in Mad Men as Trudy Campbell - is quitting her role as eager over-achiever Annie Edison.
But Harmon set the record straight on his Twitter account, stating: "The rumour about Alison Brie not returning is utterly, 100 percent false. I'd add a joke but I don't want to be unclear. She's coming back."
Community writers reconvened to work on season six earlier this week, as the highly-praised show moves from NBC to Yahoo.
Sony Pictures Television has also hinted at a movie to follow season six, although star Joel McHale has stated that it would take an exceptional idea for a film before the cast would commit.
