Morgan Freeman has joined the cast of the upcoming comedy Ted 2.
Seth MacFarlane's highly-anticipate sequel following the antics of John Bennet (Mark Wahlberg) and his best pal, a living teddy bear, who is voiced by the Family Guy creator.
Freeman will play a civil rights lawyer who is brought in to defend Ted in a highly-controversial court case, according to Variety.
Amanda Seyfried has bagged the female lead in the film, following her appearance in MacFarlane's comedy A Million Ways to Die in the West.
Production on the Ted sequel, which is scheduled to be released in summer 2015, is currently underway in Boston.
