Karl Urban has hinted once again that there may well be a second Judge Dredd movie following 2012's little-seen but critically-acclaimed adaptation of the 2000AD comic strip about the 22nd century Mega City 1 lawman.
Speaking at Chicago Comic Con, Urban, who also played ornery medic McCoy in the Star Trek reboot and Eomer, son of Eomund in Lord of The Rings, said: “Why yes, there is a definite possibility. But, it is more likely that we will do the origins story with Dredd trekking through the cursed earth to find the first Chief Judge Fargo.”
Chief Judge Eustace Fargo is the the man from whom Dredd was cloned. The most recent Dredd movie only took $35 million at the box office but did much to banish memories of Sylvester Stallone's misfiring portrayal of the fascist cop in Danny Cannon's 1995 version.
