Sligo Live marks ten years this year and runs from October 22 to 27, with the Michael McGoldrick Quartet, Sheryl Crow, Bell X1 and Horslips on the bill this year.

The Michael McGoldrick Quartet - featuring Dezi Donnelly, Ed Boyd and John Joe Kelly - perform on Saturday October 25 at Hawk’s Well Theatre. Reserved seating is priced €18.00. Tickets from www.sligolive.ie or from Ticketmaster or the Hawk's Well Box Office (Tel 071 916 1518).  

Michael (flute, tin whistles, pipes), Dezi (fiddle) and John Joe (bodhrán) met in the thriving Manchester-Irish traditional music scene, joined in time by guitarist Ed Boyd.

For the past two years, McGoldrick has been touring as a member of Mark Knopfler’s band. The band's solo and collaborative albums have been honoured at the BBC Folk Awards many times.

Under 18s can avail of half-price tickets for this and selected other Sligo Live shows in a Music Generation Sligo initiative, funded by U2, The Ireland Funds and Local Music Education Partnerships.

Riptide Movement, Simone Felice, The Barr Brothers, O’Hooley & Tidow, No Crows, Rackhouse Pilfe will also perform at Sligo Live.
