We saw him break down in tears during the Judges' Houses stage of X Factor last year, when he accompanied Louis Walsh and the Boys category, to St. Tropez. But what can Shane Filan tell us about this year's series?
Speaking to RTÉ TEN, Filan said, "I spoke to Louis a few weeks ago about it. We were meeting up in London. He said it's very exciting this year, and there are a lot of different types of people in it. He's definitely more excited about this year than before."
"It's an interesting panel, it's a great mix. Mel B is an amazing addition to it. Having Simon and Louis back on either end is the perfect combination, and then Cheryl makes the whole thing look great. It's probably the most powerful panel that's been there for a few years."
When asked if he has any idea who Louis will be mentoring this year, Shane giggled and said, "That's an interesting question. I've no idea. But, I'm sure fans will be pleased."
Former X Factor judge, Tulisa Contostavlos, will be joining Louis as an X Factor guest for Judges' Houses, in Bermuda this year.
Shane will end his You and Me tour in Dublin's Olympia on December 2.
