The Magic Mike sequel has started filming.
Filmmaker Steven Soderbergh revealed the news through one of his Twitter pseudonyms, posting an image of the Magic Mike XXL clapper board along with the caption: "It's ON!"
Soderbergh is stepping down as director on Magic Mike XXL, and will instead serve as cinematographer, camera operator and editor. Gregory Jacobs has taken over directing duties for the sequel.
Channing Tatum is making a welcome return to the movie, alongside Joe Manganiello. It has not yet been confirmed if Matthew McConaughey, Alex Pettyfer and Matt Bomer will be reprising their roles.
Magic Mike XXL is slated for a summer 2015 release.
