Grammy-nominated comedian Tig Notaro plays The Sugar Club on Friday September 5. RTÉ TEN has three pairs of tickets up for grabs.
Louis CK has declared that Tig Notaro’s stand-up routine is one of the best performances he has ever seen. Notaro was nominated for a Grammy Award for her sophomore comedy album LIVE, which sold over 100,000 units in six weeks.
In the promotional whirl accompanying that album’s release, Tig was reviewed and profiled by The New York Times, The New Yorker, Entertainment Weekly, Vanity Fair, GQ Magazine, Rolling Stone and Time Magazine. During the campaign, Tig also closed a book deal with Ecco, an imprint of Harper Collins.
Tig’s weekly podcast, Professor Blastoff, has consistently been in the top 10 iTunes comedy podcast charts.
Tig remains a favorite on both PRI’s, This American Life, and on Conan. She has starred on ABC’s Suburgatory, NBC’s The Office and Community, HBO’s The Life and Times of Tim. She wrote for The 2011 Emmy’s and 2010 MTV Movie Awards
