Tom Hanks has closed a deal to reprise his role as symbologist Robert Langdon in the big screen version of Dan Brown's bestseller Inferno, with Ron Howard in the director's chair once again.
Deadline.com broke the news that the film - Hanks' third as Langdon following The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons - will begin shooting in Italy next April.
Angels & Demons, which was released in 2009, grossed $486m worldwide.
