The executive producer of BBC's Sherlock, Steven Moffat, has suggested that the upcoming fourth season of the drama will be better than ever.
Speaking at this year's Emmy Awards, Moffat claimed that he has a "devastating" plan for when the show returns for its one-off special and new three-part run.
"We practically reduced our cast to tears by telling them the plan," he explained. "Mark [Gatiss] and myself are so excited with what we've got coming up, probably more excited than we've ever been about Sherlock."
The show won three Emmy Awards at last night's ceremony (August 25), with Benedict Cumberbatch won his first for his role on the show as Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Movie. Martin Freeman also won in the Best Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or Movie category.
The hat-trick was completed when Steven Moffat accepted the Outstanding Writing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special award for the episode Sherlock: His Last Vow.
The 66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards goes out tonight (Tuesday August 26) on Sky Living at 9.00pm.
