From James Franco to Taylor Swift, Anna Kendrick to Ashton Kutcher, the ice-bucket challenge is sweeping the internet, and our own Dáithí Ó Sé joined in the action live on the Rose of Tralee last night!
The Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association directly challenged Dáithí to chuck a bucket of ice cold water over his head to raise awareness of the disease.
Dáithí was originally challenged by his mother in law and the IMNDA echoed her nomination by sending him a direct challenge.
The Kerryman, in full tux, met the challenge head on last night live on the Rose of Tralee in The Dome and nominated former Rose of Tralee hosts Ray D'Arcy, Ryan Tubridy and Marty Whelan to follow suit and take a dunking to contribute funds and raise awareness of Motor Neuron Disease.
The Irish MNDA is inviting everyone to undertake the ice bucket challenge to support their work in providing support to people in Ireland with MND.
If you don't want to get wet (and cold!), you can donate to IMNDA by texting MND to donate €2.00 to 50300. 100% of the text goes to IMNDA, but some providers may apply VAT.
