Geena Davis has signed up to star in the eleventh season of hit medical drama Grey's Anatomy.
The Oscar winning star will play a surgeon working in Grey Sloan Memorial according to Deadline, and it is expected her role will be substantial.
It will be 58-year-old Davis' first major TV project since she starred in the lead role of ill-fated Commander in Chief in which she played the first female President of The United States.
