Dawson's Creek star James Van Der Beek has been cast opposite Patricia Arquette in the new CSI spin-off CSI: Cyber, which is inspired by the work of Irish cyberpsychologist Mary Aiken.
Arquette plays Special Agent Avery Ryan, the head of the FBI's Cyber Crime Division.
Deadline.com says Van Der Beek will play FBI Agent Elijah Mundo, an Afghanistan veteran and battlefield forensics specialist whose behaviour is tempered by Ryan's more level-headed approach.
