The new documentary series Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways is to premiere on HBO in the US on Friday October 17.
The series, directed by mainman Dave Grohl, sees the band travelling to eight American cities to explore their musical history and record tracks with local legends for the Foo Fighters' upcoming eighth album.
The cities visited are: Seattle, Chicago, Austin, Nashville, Los Angeles, New Orleans, New York and Washington, DC.
Foo Fighters have just completed work on the new album, with producer Butch Vig describing it as "epic".
