Ronnie Wood’s wife Sally Humphreys has opened up about the possibility of expanding her family.
36-year old Sally Humphreys is 31 years younger than the Rolling Stones musician. “As time ticks on I would like children," she reveals.
"A baby would be nice. Obviously we’ve spoken about it quite a lot, and you can ask him and his response would be: 'Well, that would be nice.' He's up for it. He's got a lot of friends that are older who have younger children and they all say it's fantastic and it keeps you young. I do think that would be wonderful, but I don’t know if it will happen. I hope so."
Ronnie already has three children, and is a grandfather. Talking to the Telegraph newspaper, Sally and Ronnie also revealed that they do jigsaw puzzles around the house.
Speaking about the age gap, Sally commented: "Um, well, I know it’s there. And I wish it wasn’t, but it is. At no point, years ago, did I say to myself: ‘I think I’ll go out with someone twice my age', but that is what has happened."
The 67-year old guitarist watches box sets when trying to wind down from touring and adjust to a normal routine. “Being on tour jet lags you, “ he says. “You wake up every night about 9.00pm, just at the time when you would be going on stage. So now, instead, we watch 19 murder mysteries in a row. We’re on Above Suspicion at the moment. Last one tonight!"
The couple love Broadchurch and Happy Valley. "That was brilliant!" said Ronnie. "And Orange Is the New Black. Ah, we love that! And Fargo.
Ronnie and the band watch loads of box sets on the road also. “Even with Jagger I go, 'Let’s go and watch House of Cards.’ And he told us about Game of Thrones. We had to send someone out at four in the morning when we were in Shanghai to get us the next series."
Backgammon is another passion that both the couple and the band enjoy. The Rolling Stones have just finished touring, and Sally organised a backgammon tournament for the band. The tournament will resume when the band's tour resumes in October.
