Actress Emma Watson has expressed her sorrow about the death of her Harry Potter co-star Dave Legeno who was found dead in Death Valley desert in California last Sunday.

50-year-old Legeno, who was a mixed martial arts expert, played werewolf Fenrir Greyback in three of the Harry Potter movies. He had been hiking in the desert and is said to have died of heat stroke.

Watson tweeted: "I'm so sad to hear about #DaveLegano He was such a lovely man. I hope he is resting in peace."

London-born Legeno worked as a bouncer and wrestler before he took up boxing and started working in the movie industry. His first major film role was in Guy Ritchie’s Snatch.
