Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, is reportedly in talks to star in a movie adaptation of a Robert Ludlum book.
According to Variety, the Fast & Furious star would take the lead in The Janson Directive.
The book by Ludlum is about a former consular ops agent who goes into business as a private security consultant.
He teams up with a sharpshooter and only takes assignments that he believes will help those truly in need.
If Johnson signs a deal to star in the film, he would also produce the project with Universal.
Sources say that the studio is hoping that the project would become a Bourne-like franchise.
Johnson is already known for his part of the Fast & Furious and GI Joe film franchises, and he will also soon be seen in Hercules, which is hoped to become another franchise.
