Written and directed by screen-writer Rowan Joffe (28 Days Later) Nicole Kidman plays Christine Hughes whose memories evaporate when she goes to sleep.
Colin Firth stars as Christine’s husband and Mark Strong plays the doctor who is trying to help Christine recover her memory. Both seem to have more knowledge about Christine’s story than they are prepared to reveal.
When she discovers that her condition was caused by a brutal attack, she is hell-bent to discover what actually happened. The movie is adapted from SJ Watson's 2011 psychological thriller of the same name. Described as a mixture of Memento, Inception and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, the novel has been translated into 30 languages.
Anne-Marie Duff plays the friend who makes a sudden reappearance in Christine's life. The film opens in September.
