Bob Geldof has broken his silence about the tragic passing of his daughter Peaches, who was only 25 when she died in April.

On ITV's Lorraine this morning (July 4), Geldof spoke about how he is still struggling with the loss, "You could be talking to somebody, you could be walking down the road . . . and I've got to be careful as this is still very raw.

"I'm walking down the road and suddenly out of the blue, there's an awareness of her."

Geldof also spoke about how playing allows him to express his grief and turmoil, "Being on stage is entirely cathartic, it just clears your head."

Peaches, a mother of two, died on April 7 and is survived by husband and musician Thomas Cohen and their two young young children 11-month-old Phaedra and 23-month-old Astala.
